The hospital is an Institute San Raffaele Hospital and the Medical Research of Private Law, born in the 70s by the will of Don Luis Maria Verzé Foundation as part of the San Raffaele del Monte Tabor.
Today the San Raffaele hospital is a qualified national and international importance for highly specialized for the most important diseases and houses the Department of Emergency, Emergency and Acceptance of High Specialty (EAS).
And 'research center, national reference for molecular medicine, diabetes and metabolic diseases, biotechnology and bioimaging.

BLOOD DONORS ASSOCIATION OF ST RAPHAEL (A.Bi.Zero)
It's called A.Bi.Zero, as the letters indicate that the blood groups, and promotes the donation in order to achieve self-sufficiency of the Institute. The San Raffaele, in fact, has a daily requirement of 150 units of blood or blood products intended for users of the ER, patients undergoing surgery, cancer patients, infants, etc..
At the Association operate voluntary groups who work with the Secretariat, the management of call lists donations, fund-raising and promotion of new initiatives.
The association is open to anyone who wants to contribute to the spread of culture and practice of blood donation.

It aims to support and enhance the activity of the Multiple Sclerosis Center of San Rafael. Raise funds designed to support the diagnostic and research activities, establishing scholarships, organizes conferences, seminars, refresher courses, and research partners in the political world to care for people with multiple sclerosis (in Italy there are about 40,000) is not responsibility of the individual, but may be tackled with the help of the community.
